Our Team
Meet the dedicated, experienced team behind Burst and learn how we can support your skilled nursing facility.
Chief Executive Officer; Founder; Top Healthcare Influencer; Master Life Coach
Eric Hansen understands both sides of long-term care because he’s lived them.
As a provider, he saw facilities struggle with shrinking margins and missed opportunities. As a vendor, he witnessed suppliers profit from these gaps. This dual perspective sparked a mission: transform how facilities handle Part B supplies.
Today, he leads Burst with deep healthcare expertise and proven business acumen:
Credentials aside, Eric’s real qualification is simple: He knows where facilities lose money because he’s seen it from both sides of the table.
Chief Revenue Officer; LTC Sales Expert; Regional Director and VP of Sales
Shawn Barron doesn’t just understand long-term care sales—he’s redefined them.
After generating $23M in healthcare revenue and serving at every level from Regional Director to VP of Sales, he saw a pattern: facilities were leaving money on the table, not because of poor operations but because of systemic gaps in Part B reimbursements.
This insight drives his approach at Burst, where he combines extensive sales leadership with real-world facility operations experience. His dual background—corporate strategy and boots-on-the-ground operations—gives him unique insight into what facilities need to thrive.
A United States Coast Guard Reservist and Portland State University honors graduate, Shawn brings military precision to revenue optimization and a commitment to serving others above self.
Chief Operating Officer; Social Services Director; Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
Cara Hansen sees what others miss in long-term care because she’s managed it from every angle.
From Social Worker to Licensed Administrator, she’s transformed facilities at every level. Leading teams of 120+ across four facilities, she consistently achieved top state and federal survey metrics—not by cutting corners, but by optimizing operations other administrators overlook.
This frontline experience shapes Burst’s approach to Part B reimbursements. She knows exactly how facilities operate, where they struggle, and most importantly, where hidden value waits to be uncovered.
As COO, Cara brings real-world facility management expertise to every partnership, ensuring solutions that work in theory actually deliver in practice.
EVP of Reimbursement
A veteran in the medical billing industry with over 35 years of experience, Torrez has consulted for doctors, clinics, hospitals, medical supply companies, and pharmacies nationwide. She has been conducting classes and training sessions since 1994, focusing on new practice setup, billing and coding, practice software like AccuDME and MediSoft, and practice management.
Her extensive knowledge and expertise in reimbursement strategies ensure that clients maximize their Medicare Part B reimbursements. Her dedication to accuracy and efficiency in medical billing makes her an essential member of the Burst Medical Billing team.
Here’s an uncomfortable truth: Your suppliers profit from your Part B supplies while calling them ‘free.’
But facilities like yours are waking up. They’re discovering the value hidden in plain sight and reclaiming what’s rightfully theirs.
We make it simple: You give us one hour monthly. We give you back your profits.
Schedule a call. Because your supplies should work for you, not your suppliers.
